Vision

Department of Economics strives to provide excellence in commerce and business education at the undergraduate level by exploring the economic study, analyzing issues faced by the economies of the world in general and Indian economy in particular and addressing evolving needs of business and industry. 

Mission

The department aims at -

· Training the students in methods, and ideas of modern theoretical and applied economics by engaging them in the academic and extra-curricular activities to supplement their knowledge.

· Acquainting students with economic concepts and techniques in the business world. 

· Familiarizing students with salient developments in the world economy in both present and historical context.

· Moulding empowered, emphatic and environmentally sensitive women economists.
